While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I encountered behind its entrance was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .

From the moment I crossed the threshold, it was immediately obvious that cleanliness was not a priority at Masterson’s . The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of stale beer and uncleaned toilets filled the entire establishment . With a smell of a mixture of human waste, old age and sour vomit . The bar area , which should be the focal point of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and litter that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks . The bathroom was in even worse condition — spilling over , with a broken handle and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was human excrement .
